ARA (Asphalt Release Agent)
ARA is a synthetic solvent that possesses an outstanding toxicological and ecological profile. Although it was specifically developed for use as a release agent for polymer modified asphalts, this product also performs exceptionally well on conventional hot mix.
ARA can be used as a release agent for a variety of asphalts from all types of equipment used in road paving (asphalts including polymer, SMA, PMA, Smurf, Smack, Modified D-Mixes, Crumb Rubber, Permaflex, and Fibre). This includes transportation vehicles as well as spreaders, dump trucks, asphalt spraying equipment, any equipment to prepare asphalt mixes and any other asphalt and tar handling equipment. Use with Spray Applicator
ARA’s outstanding toxicological and ecological profiles, along with its unique film forming properties and other features, make it ideal for use in this application. It also has VOC exempt (Volatile Organic Compounds). Oxygen uptake data indicates that ARA may be classified as inherently biodegradable according to modified version of the CFR 40 method and a SCAS test.
